Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Windsor El Camino Care Center, CA
Shift: Day Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Summary: The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) will oversee and manage the daily operations of the rehabilitation department at Windsor El Camino Care Center. This leadership role is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary therapy team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered therapy services. The DOR serves as a key member of the facility's leadership team and plays an integral role in the success of clinical outcomes and staff development.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide overall leadership and supervision for the physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams.
- Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with all applicable regulations and facility policies.
- Oversee departmental scheduling, productivity, staffing, and workflow management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely billing and reimbursement practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements, including PDPM guidelines.
- Participate in facility-wide quality improvement initiatives and audits.
Qualifications: - Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of California (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
- Previous leadership or management experience as a DOR or Rehab Manager strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Medicare regulations, PDPM, and long-term care industry standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
