Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Vaco has partnered with a company looking for an accounting clerk to add to their team!

Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk supports the finance department by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical tasks. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• 
  Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
• 
  Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• 
  Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
• 
  Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• 
  Maintain organized financial files and documentation
• 
  Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
• 
  Support audits by providing required documentation
• 
  Perform data entry and administrative support as needed
  

Qualifications

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 
  1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
• 
  Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• 
  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• 
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• 
  Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
