Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with a current MI license and at least one year of experience for a cardiac-focused unit.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is based in a 54-bed hospital cardiac unit specializing in telemetry care
• Patient population includes heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke requiring cardiac monitoring, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow
• Most patients are on remote cardiac monitors and the unit manages cardiac drips
• Uses Cerner Powerchart for charting
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No call responsibilities
• Traveler-to-patient ratios may increase temporarily up to 1:7 during high workload periods
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated when possible
• Primary duties include monitoring and managing cardiac patients, including those on cardiac drips
• Team structure will include additional support staff as the unit hires new personnel
• Scrub color is Caribbean Blue
• Must be prepared for unit census fluctuations and varying workload
• Holiday coverage for 2 out of 3 major holidays is required

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year Telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
