Quality Management & Credentialing Specialist Organization: Snohomish County EMS Agency (SCEMSA) Status: Fulltime (hybrid), FLSA Nonexempt Reports to: Executive Director; collaborates with Medical Program Director (MPD) Compensation: Grade E01. Final placement set by Board/Executive Director. About the Role SCEMSA is seeking a Quality Management & Credentialing Specialist to lead countywide quality improvement and quality assurance (QI/QA), own key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain our Electronic Health Record (EHR) configuration to ensure consistent, highquality data capture across Snohomish County. This role also serves as the County Credentialing Coordinator, managing initial and ongoing certification for EMS providers in alignment with national, state, regional, and local standards. A strong customersupport mindset is essential. What Youll Do Plan and advance a countywide Quality Management (QM) program, including Quality Improvement activities (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) with the MPD and agency leaders. Define, track, and publish KPIs; build recurring dashboards and afteraction review routines. Help develop QI activities to target improvement in KPIs. Administer the EMS EHR (e.g., ESO): forms, validation rules, user profiles, data standards, and change control. Serve as County Credentialing Coordinator; manage provider/agency/course credentials and audit readiness. Maintain compliant records per WA retention schedules and HIPAA/privacy requirements; provide responsive customer support to agencies/providers. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years in EMS or healthcare quality management. Associates in EMS, Health Information Management, or related fieldor equivalent experience. WA EMT or Paramedic background strongly preferred. Proficiency with Office 365 and EHR/database tools; strong data literacy and report writing. Excellent communication skills and a proven customerservice orientation. Preferred Experience with ESO or similar EMS EHR. Familiarity with WA EMS credentialing requirements and records retention schedules. Success in Year One Publish a countywide data dictionary and implement aligned EHR form updates. Launch a monthly KPI dashboard (e.g., documentation completeness, airway success, timecritical conditions, returntoservice times), including county-wide and agency-level data. Achieve >95% ontime credential renewals and a 30day SLA for routine credentialing actions. Work Environment Hybrid office/field; occasional evenings/weekends and countywide travel.
