Overview UPPER EAST SIDE, NYC (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A vibrant and welcoming family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a FULL-TIME, career nanny to work Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM caring for their three young children, ages 5, 3, and a 10-month-old, born prematurely (currently tracking developmentally around 7 months). This is a long-term, stable role ideal for a professional nanny who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about early childhood development. The nanny will work closely with an involved, part-time working mother, so a collaborative, respectful approach is essential. The ideal candidate is warm, energetic, confident managing multiple children, and aligns with gentle, respectful parenting philosophies. Familiarity with Montessori or similar approaches is a plus. Primary duties include full childcare, engaging the children in age-appropriate developmental activities, managing routines, light housekeeping related to the children, laundry, simple family meal prep, and running occasional errands. The middle child has slight food allergies, so careful and safety focused candidates are prioritized. Candidates should be comfortable driving the children outside of the city, specifically in the Hamptons as the family would like the candidate to travel with them and work during summers. The nanny can return home on their off days. A valid driver’s license, strong swimming ability, and passport are a must, as travel (including internationally). The family will provide a vehicle for use while on duty and offers private live-in accommodations during summer months. Candidates should be fully vaccinated against COVID, Flu, and Tdap due to the infant’s medical history. This position pays $30-$35/hour gross via payroll + eligible overtime, with additional benefits. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a kind and organized household that values reliability, safety, and mutual respect. Qualifications BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED) THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
