Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a WV or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in an acute care hospital within the Interventional Radiology (IR) vascular lab
• Typical patient cases include TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, Permacaths, peripheral angiography, venograms, and peripheral bypass
• Average of four cases per day in a single suite/lab
• Uses Epic EMR and Philips Azurion hybrid OR equipment
• Five eight-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
• Requires 8-9 days of on-call per schedule, including one weekend; call shifts typically run from 4 pm to 7 am weekdays and 24 hours on weekends
• 30-minute call response time required
• No floating required unless additional hours are desired and traveler has experience in other units
• RNs circulate for IR cases, provide sedation, and manage procedure documentation
• One week or up to 36 hours of orientation, including hospital, nursing, and computer training
• Surgical attire is required and provided; lead protection is not provided
• Rotational holiday call coverage required
• First-time travelers are not restricted, but former WVU system employees must have a two-year break before returning
• Travelers cannot work within WVU system for more than one consecutive year before a mandatory two-year break
• Local candidates are not eligible; must live outside the facility's local radius

• Active WV or compact state RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least one year of recent Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology nursing or Rad Tech experience
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and basic sterile technique preferred
• Ability to circulate, sedate, and complete documentation for IR procedures
