Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in a cardiac unit requiring a MI RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes heart failure, STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke requiring monitoring, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow
• Typical patient ratios are 1:5-6, with a potential of 1:7 during staff shortages
• Cardiac drips are managed on this unit
• Telemetry monitoring is performed both remotely and on the unit
• Uses Cerner Powerchart for documentation
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, management of drips, and caring for patients with acute cardiac events
• A remote telemetry room supports patient monitoring
• Team is actively expanding with additional travelers and hiring PCTs to support the workload
• Managers will attempt to accommodate block scheduling requests but cannot guarantee them
• Scrub color is Caribbean Blue

• Active MI RN license required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience with Cerner Powerchart preferred
• Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• First time travelers are accepted
