Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech – Position Summary\n\nDepartment: Radiology\nCertifications Required:\n\nBLS\n\nARRT\n\nNorth Dakota State License\n\nScreening Process: Profile review + manager interview\nRadius Rule: No candidates within 50 miles; cannot be FT/PT/PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity\nRTO: Must be submitted upfront (max 7 days per 13-week contract); no additional RTO approved after submission\n\nDepartment Details\n\nTreatment Areas: 7\n\nCoverage Areas: Inpatient, outpatient, OR, ER\n\nPatient Population: Pediatrics through geriatrics\n\nCase Mix: High-volume ER, busy OR, fluoroscopy, general X-ray\n\nRequired Skills\n\nMust have C-arm experience\n\nO-Arm experience preferred (can train)\n\nMust be experienced with portables and fluoroscopy\n\nDaily Volume\n\n70–80 X-ray exams per day, plus\n\n5–15 OR cases daily\n\nSystems & Equipment\n\nEMR: EPIC (“Citrix”)\n\nEquipment:\n\nOEC C-arms\n\nMedtronic O-Arm\n\nFuji general X-ray & portable units\n\nSiemens fluoroscopy\n\nRadiology Supervisor/Lead: Yes, on day shift\n\nRRA: Not utilized\n\nRadiologist On-site: Yes, Mon–Fri 08:00–16:30 (after-hours teleradiology)\n\nIV Starts: Not required\n\nSchedule & Call Requirements\n\nShifts: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, Monday–Sunday\nStart Times:\n\nDays: 06:00, 07:00, 07:30, 11:30\n\nNights: 19:00–07:00 (mostly weekends)\nScheduling: Created by manager\n\nCall Requirements:\n\nWeekdays: After shift (15:30/16:00–07:00), 1–2 days/week\n\nWeekends: Every 3rd weekend\n\nWeekend shifts are 12 hours (0700 start)\n\nOn-call during scheduled weekend when not working\n\nAverage 8.5–15.5 hours of call\nResponse Time: 20–30 minutes\nHoliday Coverage: If needed\n\nDress Code\n\nScrubs provided\n\nOrientation\n\n1.5–2 weeks of clinical training + EPIC training\n\nAdditional Notes\n\nWelcoming, team-focused, “family feel” department\n\nUpdated: 2/15/2024
