We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong technical pedigree and proven experience leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI/ML initiatives in the Life Sciences industry. This is not a hands-on coding role but requires a proactive, results-driven leader who can bridge technical teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience driving complex automation and machine learning projects across cross-functional domains such as Clinical, Discovery, Finance, TechOps, and Development.
This individual will oversee a team of 5-9 contractors (including RPA developers and another RPA Project Manager), ensuring delivery of a cohesive automation and AI/ML portfolio aligned with strategic business objectives.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of RPA and AI/ML initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Oversee delivery teams (onshore/offshore) and ensure timely execution of automation solutions.
  • Drive governance, prioritization, and strategic alignment of the RPA and AI/ML portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal IT, consultants, and developers to design and implement scalable automation solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on project milestones, KPIs, risks, and budgets to senior leadership.
  • Champion best practices in digital transformation, innovation, and automation strategy.


Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing AI/ML projects in the Life Sciences industry (required).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management with a focus on RPA and intelligent automation .
  • Strong understanding of automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and ML frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and technical vendors.
  • Experience working with business process owners to evaluate and optimize workflows.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in life sciences (e.g., GxP, HIPAA).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change management skills.


Preferred Skills & Traits:
  • Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle, and integration with RPA solutions.
  • Experience leading global teams in a matrixed or outsourced delivery model.

  • gile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery experience.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification a plus.
  • Prior background in clinical or R&D automation initiatives is highly desirable.
