About the Team:

Our phenomenal Retail Field Operations team interacts with our customers in a super special way. Shopping at Rothy’s IRL is not your ordinary retail experience, so naturally, our team is extraordinary too. Members of this team are experts in the fit, wear, and sizing of our shoes. Our customers love shopping in stores due to the exceptional experiences they have with our Retail team. They have deep knowledge of every style, out-of-this-world customer service skills and a drive to deliver results and incredible experiences.

About the Role:

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for executing operational standards across all Rothy’s store locations. Reporting into the Director, Retail Operations, this role will help standardize processes, develop strategies, and drive sustainable implementation of all company initiatives. They are adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working with all levels of management. This person is a strategic thinker who anticipates potential obstacles and comes up with solutions that support the field teams. They are able to handle shifting priorities even if it is outside of the normal job responsibilities.

What you’ll do:
  • End-to-end owner and tactical and technical expert on all things Rothy’s Retail Operations including in-store processes, systems, SOPs and policies

  • Act as a change agent and partner with cross functional teams to leverage retail tools and systems such as internal communication platform, clienteling, point of sale, workforce management and inventory management systems to drive program development and adoption, driving store performance

  • Drive alignment between cross-functional teams and provides feedback on communication when necessary, ensuring all information is clear, concise, current and promptly posted, while continuously seeking improvements and enhancements

  • Owns all retail program and process rollouts and is responsible for all testing, documentation and training

  • Partner with Retail Leadership team to develop framework for tackling complex business problems, and works to achieve critical business goals

  • Manages and evolves the Retail Operational Calendar, serving as the central repository for critical, actionable departmental information that directly influences retail store execution and performance

  • Responsible for budget management and reporting for retail operations; monitors all supply ordering to ensure compliance to company budgetary expectations and tracks budget spend across multiple budgets to support building and forecasting

  • Routinely visit and work with field teams in their home market to evaluate, develop, implement and gain feedback on retail strategies that support productivity

  • Responsible for reporting stores and retail leadership on all retail initiatives related to contests, clienteling, in store traffic, promotional activity, etc.

You have:
  • You are based in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate retail operations management role

  • Working knowledge of retail operations, inventory, technology, communication platforms, and expense management

  • Availability to visit stores routinely to identify opportunities and support the field teams; it will be expected that you are routinely visiting stores to meet business needs, upon request (likely 1-2 times per week)

  • Supports store teams during retail business hours (as needed)

Pay range:

$120,000 - $141,000 annually

Base pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
