Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a nursing job in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of employment.
• ACLS certification required within one year of employment.
• Current BLS through AHA or American Red Cross
• Successful completion of Telemetry Cardiac Rhythm Course
• Current valid Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid compact multistate license.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient's ongoing nursing care needs
• Provide appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient
• Develop/review/revise and individualize the plan of care to address the patient's nursing care needs
• Implement interventions that are consistent with the established plan of care in a safe and appropriate manner
• Evaluate patient care to determine response to care/interventions
• Perform technical skills competently and independently to assure patient safety
