Quality Inspector

Contract

Lafayette, IN

Compensation DOE: Up to $21/hour

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 am - 2.30 pm
• 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Quality Inspector Job Duties:

• Accurately inspect raw materials and products visually and with gauges, scales, or other measurement instruments as required and according to work instructions.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Interpret specifications detailed on prints.
• Use multiple gauges.
• Document inspections with clear and concise photographs.
• Segregate non-conforming parts or materials.
• Complete required documentation for work performed.
• Enter work results into appropriate databases and SharePoint.
• Meet all TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.

Quality Inspector Requirements:

• Resume submission.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Willingness to learn the correct use of basic measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges, digital camera).
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office for data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to accurately inspect basic materials, commodities, and/or processes.
• Some college coursework or certificates in a Quality Assurance-related field (preferred).
• Prior experience using basic measurement instruments (preferred).
• Prior experience in a quality assurance inspection role (preferred).
• Reliable attendance.
