Seeking ongoing mix of weekday and weekend shifts, both mornings and nights, including holidays; minimum of of 4-6 shifts per month! Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit is a Level IV, Over 50-bed intensive care unit designed to address the needs of critically ill infants. Must have active CA license and Board Certified Requires 2-3 years of Level IV experience Mainly Day shifts, to include holidays and weekends Weekday: 7a-7p (12hr shift); Weekend days & holidays: 7a-5p (10hr shift) Weeknights: 5p-8a (15hr shift); Weekend nights: 3p-8a (17hr shift) Minimum 4-6 shifts per month Masters degree required Job Type: Hourly Non-Inclusive Procedures/Cases: Newborn. Chest tube insertion and removal, cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen, lumbar puncture, needle aspiration of a pneumothorax, percutaneous insertion of central venous catheter, percutaneous radial artery catheterization & umbilical vessel catheterization. Locums will not be a part of the transport team and not be needed for cryo BLS, NRP, PALS required Credentialing: 90-120 days Orientation will be 3 days, M-W, once privileges are obtained.
