Title : General Laborer

Location : Beaumont, TX

Must:

• At least six months of experience in construction or similar field of work (residential, commercial, pipeline, etc.)
• Familiar with common hand tools, power tools, and preferably heavy machinery
• Works well with a team
• Stable background with strong professional references
• Meets physical requirements for driving, performing inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, excavating, using hand and power tools, etc. under various weather conditions

• Plus:

  • HAZWOPER 40
  • Pipe Fusion experience preferred
  • Landfill gas experience preferred

• Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers and internal team in a helpful and professional manner
  • Assist with excavation using shovels and/or picks
  • Assist equipment operator(s) during excavations and pipe installations to clear plants, earth, and debris that heavy equipment is unable to remove
  • Assist in pipe fusion by operation of fusion equipment under supervision of a fusion tech.
  • Perform depth measurements in excavations, assist in surveying excavations for install of lateral and horizontal piping
  • Operate dump trucks to haul waste from project site(s)
  • Assist with drill equipment set up, clearing area of debris & earth to settle equipment to prep for drilling procedures.
  • Carry & pour sand or other materials to settle install of piping in drilled gas well hole
  • Install stakes and other materials to hold piping on slopes
  • Enter excavations to fuse pipe, install gas system piping, and install leachate or condensate piping
  • Enter manholes, sumps, and/or other confined spaces to install gas systems or piping systems
  • Repair gas lines by cutting piping and/or removing/draining liquids
  • Operate power tools to connect + cut piping and wellheads, and cut slots into new/existing gas system piping
  • Repair/connect system piping with glues & primers
  • Carrying/climbing ladders
  • Operation of pneumatic tools to drive piping posts and compact soil cover material (jack hammers, soil compactors)
  • Remove, clean, install LFG gas system liquid pumps
  • Replace/install pumps for gas system wellheads or leachate systems
  • Walk landfills with air-monitoring instruments to perform surface emission monitoring
  • Operate vehicles for part and equipment pick-up
  • Operate backhoe and other heavy equipment to remove soil & waste material and transfer to dump trucks
  • Mow/cut vegetation and grass around landfill wells and piping with mowers or weed-eaters
