Part-Time FOOD & AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT CENTER SPECIALIST
Eastern Plains Economic Development Corporation (EPEDC) is seeking a part-time Food & Agriculture Development Center (FADC) Specialist to facilitate agriculture business development in eastern Montana. EPEDC is a nonprofit serving the 5-county area of Carter, Dawson, Fallon, Prairie and Wibaux Counties. This position will support value-added agriculture and food production through business counseling, outreach, and economic development initiatives, working for EPEDC is and collaboratively with the FADC Director (GNDC) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one business counseling to producers and manufacturers; assisting with business, marketing, and financial planning for start-ups and expansions; conducting workshops, training, and networking events; marketing center services through social media, newsletters, and other channels; traveling throughout the region to meet clients and stakeholders; supporting small-scale food processing infrastructure development; and assisting with grant reporting and strategic planning. Travel is required within EPEDCs the 5-county region. This position reports directly to the EPEDC Executive Director.
