Overview For over 40 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65+ by offering hospitality, wellness and health care services. The Dining Partner is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for various events at a set venue or multiple locations within our Enhanced Living and Skilled Nursing facilities. Shifts: 10:30am-7:00pm, including weekends and every other holiday. Responsibilities Assists with food preparation, delivery, and clean-up Follows production sheet to ensure required quantities of foods have been prepared Assists with utility work as needed, including dishwashing, trash disposal, and general kitchen sanitation Uses appropriate checklists and logs, procures necessary food and supplies for delivery to designated houses Checks food temperatures as required and records findings on provided checklist Brings food to designated locations at assigned times and retrieves serving dishes and related equipment after completion Ensures food arrives in an attractive and palatable manner Assists with filling household dietary staples Maintains equipment in a sanitary manner and follows dish machine directions Performs refrigerator inspections to ensure food is dated, labeled, and temperatures recorded Supports the dining team in keeping a clean work area including worktables, steam tables, refrigerators and freezers Responds to Resident requests for support and uses communication systems appropriately Responds to Resident emergencies appropriately Participates in household meetings Reports hazardous conditions, equipment, and incidents to the supervisor Ensures department is neat, clean and safe and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained Monitors cleanliness and sanitation of each household kitchen to align with Department of Public Health and local Health Department requirements Provides caring, thoughtful and engaging service at all times Communicates challenges, complaints or service difficulties to the immediate supervisor Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements Complies with OSHA safety regulations and local health, safety or environmental laws Required Skills And Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skills Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to deal tactfully with team members, Residents, family members, visitors, and the general public Work professionally with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Effective English communication in Resident areas Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directed Complies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguards Education And Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required 2 years of dining experience in a senior care facility preferred Serve Safe Certification North Hill Offers Low patient ratio Free meals Competitive shift differential Free parking Free on-site fitness center State-of-the-art work environment Employee referral program Health & Dental Benefits 401(k) with company match Career Development Training Tuition Reimbursement Equal Opportunity North Hill is committed to providing equal opportunity for employment and advancement to all team members and potential team members.
