About the job

Were hiring a Commercial Roofing Estimator (entrymid level). Youll read plans/specs and perform digital takeoffs for flat roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, liquid-applied/BUR) and exterior wall assemblies (EIFS, stucco, air/vapor barriers, flashings, sealants).

Youll build quantities, request vendor quotes, and help assemble clear proposals. We use digital takeoff software and track bids and deadlines in HubSpot CRM well train you on our tools.

If youre detail-oriented, comfortable with drawings, and eager to learn, youll do great here.

Responsibilities

• Review bid invitations, drawings, and specs; identify scope and key details
• Perform digital takeoffs for flat roofs and exterior wall assemblies (well train on our platform)
• Compile quantities and basic price build-ups; request and organize vendor/supplier quotes
• Track addenda/RFIs and update takeoffs when drawings change
• Help draft scope letters, bid forms, and proposal packages
• Keep the bid log, deadlines, and communications current in our CRM (training provided)
• Support handoff to operations with organized takeoff exports and notes

Skills & Qualifications

Must-haves

• Ability to read construction drawings and follow specs (architectural/roof details)
• Comfort with digital/PDF tools and spreadsheets (Excel or similar)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadline management
• Clear written communication (RFIs, notes, scope summaries)
• Willingness to learn commercial roofing/exterior envelope systems and our software stack
• Nice to have (preferred, not required)
• Any experience with digital takeoff software (e.g., PlanSwift/STACK/OST/Bluebeam takeoffs, etc.)
• Exposure to Division 07 scopes (roofing, AVB, flashing, waterproofing)
• Familiarity with CRM/task tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
• Prior estimating, project engineering, or field experience (co-op/internships count).
