🚨 Now Hiring: Certified Medical Coder – Inpatient (Remote/Hybrid)

📍 Bronx, NY 10461

🕒 Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week

📅 Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (With possible extension)

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and emergency department medical coding in an acute care setting
• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4, and federal & payor billing guidelines accurately
• Utilize EPIC and 3M/HDS coding applications
• Research and resolve coding-related issues
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists (CDS)
• Support coder training and maintain compliance with coding standards
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes

✅ Required Qualifications

• CCS Certification (Required)
• 3+ years of medical coding experience
• Strong Inpatient coding background (ED experience preferred)
• Hands-on experience with EPIC and 3M
• Previous experience working with Clinical Documentation Specialists
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, encoder tools)
• Ability to work independently with minimal training

🎓 Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• AHIMA credentials preferred: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCP

🕘 Schedule & Work Arrangement

• Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 40 hours/week
• Hybrid/Remote Role
• Initial 1–2 weeks onsite training (flexible)
• Transition to fully remote once duties are mastered
